5 years after Forsaken and his character’s death, Destiny 2 will bring back actor Nathan Fillion (Rookie, Castle) and his character Cayde-6. It is said that the end of the saga cannot be imagined without him.
What is this character? As of 2014, there are 3 main characters that are considered mentors for the 3 classes in Destiny 2. At the beginning of Destiny, all 3 were voiced by well-known actors known from TV series:
But Cayde-6 was the only one of these characters that had a spectacular end in the game for dramaturgical reasons. After 4 years of Destiny, at the beginning of the Forsaken expansion, Cayde-6 died heroically.
Guardians thought Bungie was bringing Cayde-6 back soon, but they didn’t
How did you discuss his death? It was already suspected in 2018 that Bungie wouldn’t pull it off and Cayde-6 would be bringing back soon. Because his character was probably the most popular NPC in Destiny 2.
It was joked that Cayde-6 would soon make its way back to Destiny 2 as “Cayde-7”.
But over the years, Cayde has played an indirect role, and his sacrifice and fate have been remembered time and again, but he and actor Nathan Fillion have stayed away.
This is how it will change: The Destiny 2 Showcase: The Final Shape was officially announced on August 22nd. confirms that Nathan Fillion and Cayde-6 will be returning to Destiny 2. There had already been signs of this in May.
The showcase for “The Final Shape” states that there is no way to complete the saga of light and shadow without having Cayde-6 on board. He is the glue that holds Zavala and Ikora Rey together. His reappearance helps the characters reflect on the choices they made without him.
The developers said: Fillion immediately slipped back into his role as Cayde-6. It was fantastic to watch him do it.
There should be a feeling that the “old band” is getting together again.
