The origin of Monday’s bear attack in Ljusdal is still unclear. But now the course of events is beginning to become somewhat clear.
It must have been a father and son hunting together. When the female bear attacked and lay over the father, the son hit the bear hard in the head.
– When the son hit the bear, the bear turned around and bit him on the wrist. Then the father managed to fire a shot that killed the bear, says Jonny Sjöblom.
The father is said to have suffered injuries to his face and is being treated in Umeå. The son is being treated for his injuries at the University Hospital in Uppsala.
