Moscow has indeed announced this Saturday a ceasefire to allow the evacuation of civilians, after consultations between representatives of Kiev and Moscow.

The Russian army continues to advance. Fighting continues in Cherniguiv, north of Kiev, where Russian strikes left 47 dead on Friday in a residential area. Some 350 km east of Kiev, the situation has also become “hell” in Okhtyrka, and it is “critical” in Sumy, according to the authorities. More than 1.2 million people have already fled the country, according to the UN.

Russian forces occupy the Zaporozhzhya nuclear power plant. Moscow has occupied this power station in southeastern Ukraine since Friday, where its artillery strikes, according to the Ukrainians, caused a fire, which Moscow denies being the cause.
