She is not only very good at skiing.
Now Frida Karlsson shows off her skills with the ball.
And makes a big impression on WC bronze hero Zecira Musovic.
Millions of Swedes have followed our blue and yellow soccer ladies this summer and the excitement has been at its peak all the way. After Sweden went undefeated all the way to the WC semi-finals and knocked out top nations such as the USA and Japan, expectations were high for a new medal.
Sweden’s success
But Spain were far too difficult in the last step before the World Cup final and instead the Swedes had to settle for a bronze match as the finale. On Saturday morning it was therefore time to sit down again to follow another nervous WC match.

One who was really excited was the Swedish skiing star Frida Karlsson. She herself has a background as a soccer player, but chose at a young age to invest in cross-country skiing instead, and today she is one of the world’s top cross-country skiers.

Frida surprises
Before the WC bronze match, she wanted to send extra encouragement to Blågult by posting a video of herself playing with the ball. Many are also surprised by Karlsson’s unexpected display when she shows exactly how skilled she is with a soccer ball, see the video below.
“This thing about me ‘choosing’ cross-country skiing. We are with you all the way into the tile, she writes on Instagram along with the video.

Many have written in the comment field how impressed they are and several Swedish national team players have also gotten in touch. The WC hero Zecira Musovic is particularly impressed by Frida Karlsson and her tricks, even though the very last thing she does in the video, see below, still shows that she made the right choice to bet on the skis instead.
“Better ball control than many in the national team!”, writes one user.
“Has a feeling that if you bet on football you would be in Australia by now,” writes another.
“Good, nice at the end,” writes a third with a laugh.

We will probably never know whether the pep video helped Sweden in the World Cup. But Blågult did not disappoint when they defeated the host nation Australia 2-0 and salvaged yet another WC bronze.
