Russia is under pressure from several drone attacks

Two of them struck in regions bordering Ukraine, Kursk and Rostov. The third, which was headed for Moscow, was intercepted by the Russian Air Defense Forces, VKS. In Kursk, five people were injured when the drone crashed into a train station that caught fire.

VKS is probably under heavy pressure to strengthen air defense when the number of attacks in the country increases.

Drones deep into Russian soil are strategically important because Russian President Vladimir Putin did not expect the Russian population to notice the invasion of Ukraine to any great extent, writes the British Ministry of Defense on its website.
