Donald Trump, who is currently running to become the Republican presidential candidate, is suspected along with 18 other people of having tried to influence the election results in the state of Georgia.
– It’s serious, it’s about trying to influence the outcome of the presidential election at the state level in different ways, says Dag Blanck, professor of North American studies at Uppsala University.
A total of four charges have been brought against the ex-president. In addition to the latest indictment, the suspicions include accounting violations in connection with an extramarital affair, classified documents that he is suspected of keeping in his Mar-a-lago residence, and for having incited the storming of the United States Congress.
