“We remain committed to contributing to peace talks and creating a broader international consensus to resolve conflicts, whether they concern Afghanistan, Syria, the Korean Peninsula, Ukraine or Iran’s nuclear energy issues,” Li said, according to Russian state news agency Tass.
The cooperative organization SCU was founded in 2001 and includes the member countries Russia, China, India, Pakistan, Iran, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan and soon also Belarus.
After the conference in Moscow, Li will travel to Belarus. There, the defense minister will participate in talks with “state and military” leaders and visit military installations, according to China’s defense ministry.
