Scorsese’s film revolves around the gangster Henry Hill (Liotta), who wins and loses everything in a three-decade mafia career. In a scene he gets on the nerves of the annoying wig salesman Morrie Kessler (Low), who is constantly begging his friend Jimmy (Robert De Niro) for money. Liotta revealed to the podcast The Moment about filming the scene:
[Chuck Low] thought I was really going after him. So he used my momentum and threw me around. I hit a wall and my lip split open. I had to finish filming and have her sewn.

According to Liotta, his injured lip is in the film’s follow-up scene clearly recognizable. It is not known whether there was any animosity between him and Low afterwards. It didn’t hurt the film.
