Last minute… The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Montenegro announced that a Russian diplomat working at the Russian Embassy in Montenegro was declared “persona non grata”.
In the statement made by the ministry, it was stated that the decision was taken after the Montenegrin security units evaluated that the Russian diplomat had activities in conflict with the Vienna Convention on diplomatic relations.
GIVEN 72 HOURS
In the statement, it was also stated that the Russian diplomat was given 72 hours to leave the territory of Montenegro and the official note regarding this decision was delivered to the Montenegrin Embassy of Russia.
While the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Montenegro did not specify what activities the Russian diplomat is working on, the Russian Embassy has not yet made a statement on the subject. (AA)
