(Tiper Stock Exchange) – From next 1st September, the life of 80,000 alternate substitutes and newcomers a year will improve: the regulatory changes are contained in Law no. 103 published yesterday, Thursday 10 August, in the Official Gazette and are a natural consequence of the extensive dispute promoted by Anief on the two subjects.
The first rule – reports the union in a note – is on the Teachers’ Charter of 500 euros a year, now also accessible to annual substitute teachers but only if the contract ends on 31 August; the second is on career reconstruction, to be carried out from September on the entire precarious period, with no more limitations, but with the cancellation of the full year after 180 days of service.
“Anief is satisfied with these first steps forward in the scholastic field produced by the Government and Parliament – says Marcello Pacifico, national president of Anief – , but these are rules to be completed. Therefore, our union raises the appeals to broaden their scope and also to safeguard all the other rights denied during the precarious period, such as seniority, holidays, ancillary wages. Keep going like this, towards the conquest of others protection for those who work in the fields of education, university and public research”.
