Now it is revealed exactly how much each player gets in bonus.

Before this summer’s Women’s World Cup, Fifa announced that more money will be distributed to the women’s national team. The national federations must receive higher bonuses and money must also be earmarked for the national team players.

The Swedish success

All WC players are guaranteed SEK 320,000 to even participate in the championship, and in connection with Sweden’s great success, that sum is increased considerably. Friday’s 2-1 victory against Japan, which means advancement to the semi-finals, also gives the blue-and-yellow national team players a big bang in the coffers.

The WC bonus increases to at least 1.75 million kroner per player and can grow even more if things go well for Sweden in the medal hunt, Sportbladet reports.
– They are well received, says Fridolina Rolfö to the evening paper.
– I haven’t thought much about it to be honest. It is of course very positive for us players but also for the association.

Blue-yellow millions

The Swedish Football Association already receives at least 26 million kroner in bonuses from Fifa, and should Blågult win the World Cup gold, it will increase to almost 46 million kroner. The bonus for each individual player will be just under three million kroner if they manage to reach all the way to the WC trophy.

But it’s not something the Swedish players want to focus on when there are two vital matches left in the WC playoffs this summer.
– I think the last thing I think about is what ends up in the account, says the goalkeeper Zecira Musovic in a statement.
– We are just extremely happy about this victory and will celebrate as usual with singing on the bus on the way home.
