Who is behind the award? Gaming Without Borders is an accessibility and inclusion initiative with a focus on digital gaming. Their stated goal is to draw attention to the needs of players with disabilities.
Since it was founded three years ago, they have been testing games and technologies for accessibility and publishing their results on their website. Among other things, they evaluate whether games can be played without sound or whether a game offers tools to simplify control.
The mobile phone provider congstar is a second brand of Telekom GmbH. The company maintains a partnership with FC St. Pauli and its eFootball teams. They also host their own gaming events and streams.
Together, “Gaming without Borders” and congstar want to promote inclusion and draw attention to the needs of gamers with disabilities.
