Alzheimer’s occurs with age. The disease, which manifests itself with forgetfulness, also leads to mental and behavioral disorders. Scientists have revealed that some conditions experienced in the 30s may be the cause of Alzheimer’s in the future.
The aforementioned research was conducted by University College London. Research on dementia-causing diseases such as Alzheimer’s; shows that it can start in the early 30s with poor heart health due to excessive brain aging.
Scientists have discovered a link between the cognitive age of the brain and cardiovascular health at different stages of life.
According to the statement, those who do not care about their heart health in their 30s are likely to experience brain shrinkage in the future.
AN UNHEALTHY HEART CAN AGE THE BRAIN!
Experts stated that an unhealthy heart can age the brain. The research in question was done by monitoring the size of the participants’ brains over a long period of time.
The brains of those aged 36 and later 69 with worse heart health turned out to be sometimes 10 or 20 years older than their biological age.
On the other hand, Professor Jonathan Schott from the UCL Dementia Research Center said that although the people in this study were all similar in actual age, they found that there was wide variation in how the computer model predicted how old their brains were.
In the statement, it was emphasized that this technique could be useful for identifying people at risk of accelerated aging.
