STF has now chosen to open the Kebnekaise mountain station and several mountain huts that were closed after the confirmed outbreak of winter sickness in the area.
But until August 18, only previously booked guests will be accepted. Drop-in guests and tenters will not have access to services such as the dass, guest kitchen, drying room or shops.
This is due to mountain safety reasons.
The mountain huts on the Norra Kungsleden that are covered are Abiskojaure, Alesjaure, Tjäktja, Sälka and Singi.
But also more cottages, Kaitumjaure, Sitojaure, Pårte, Aktse, Vakkotavare, Unna Allakas, Vistas, Kårsavagge, Nallo and Tarfala, are covered by the restrictions.
STF also calls for extra good hygiene among tenters in the area.
