A 25-year-old man was found on Thursday evening cut in the face on a street in Gamlestaden in eastern Gothenburg. In connection with the subsequent police operation, a suspected perpetrator could be located and arrested.
– It is a man in his 30s who has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder, says police spokesperson Fredrik Svedemyr.
The police were alerted to the incident at 7 p.m. The victim was taken to hospital by ambulance. It is unclear how severe the injuries are.
– There are some kind of cuts on the face, says Svedemyr.
After the crime, the suspected perpetrator was seen fleeing in the direction of Gamlestaden’s travel center. A technical investigation has been carried out at the crime scene.
