Doctor in economics, he taught for several years at the University of Ouagadougou, according to his LinkedIn profile, before joining the private sector. He has notably worked for auditing and consultancy firms, including the prestigious Deloitte, a British international firm.
The official biography published by the presidency emphasizes his experience in public administration and his financial management skills. From the day of his inauguration, Lieutenant-Colonel Damiba also ordered a general audit of public finances.
