Call of Duty: Warzone’s new interface has made players angry again after Season 5, which launched a few days ago. Players state in foreign forums that they do not like the new interface.
While Call of Duty: Warzone will receive a significant amount of new content throughout Season 5, many players feel that Activision and Infinity Ward should make the interface less confusing and pleasing to longtime Call of Duty fans.
Players react to Call of Duty: Warzone 2’s new interface
Activision and Infinity Ward launched Warzone Season 5 on August 2, bringing new battle royale and DMZ features, more vehicles, and general playlist updates. Warzone players can expect more new content and Call of Duty 2023 opening events throughout the season.
The in-game opening event allows players to team up with the Shadow Company, defeat the Konni troops and retrieve a dangerous chemical weapon. Moreover, the latest tip from Activision also confirms that the Call of Duty 2023 launch event will arrive within the next week.
Many people think it’s confusing
Call of Duty fan TSM-HabZ shared a screenshot of the new Warzone interface, and fans are not happy about it, as their menu and overall aesthetic are confusing. Many Warzone players believe the new interface is similar to streaming service menus like Netflix and Hulu, while others believe it is designed to encourage microtransactions, similar to mobile games.
Few Warzone players like AyKayAllDay47 believe the new UI update might be good for those who only play a few mods of the game. For example, players can select Resurgence in a matter of seconds as it is located next to the Featured and DMZ modes in Warzone’s main menu. It looks like Infinity Ward will want to consider listening to more player feedback. Because this is vital for further adjustments and improvements.
But of course, Infinity Ward is committed to releasing a host of new content for Season 5, such as new operators, weapons, and events. Additionally, Infinity Ward is expected to release a major “Reloaded” update for Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone Season 5. So more UI tweaks and fixes could potentially come towards the end of August.
