The attacks are getting stronger Here are the heavy weapons

While Russia’s attacks on Ukraine stand out as the biggest conflict Europe has witnessed since the Second World War, Russia is launching multi-faceted attacks with highly destructive weapon systems.

The attacks of the Russian army, which caused many deaths and widespread destruction in various regions of Ukraine, continue to draw reaction from the international community.

In conflicts across Ukraine, Russia targets important civil and military facilities in the country with its warplanes and highly destructive defense equipment such as the Kalibr cruise missile.

Among the highly destructive weapon systems used by Russia, the Kalibr missiles, which are known for their ability to hit targets, are used in the destruction of facilities near civilians in Kyiv and Kharkiv, and civilian casualties are reported there.

Although Russia claims that only military facilities and bases were targeted, the Associated Press and many international media outlets detected massive destruction in civilian settlements in various Ukrainian cities, especially in Kyiv and Kharkiv.

It is stated that Russian-made Iskender-M missiles, which can carry nuclear warheads and have a range of 500 kilometers, were fired from Russia’s ally Belarus to Ukrainian territory.

As the attacks of the Russian troops begin to intensify, it is stated that multi-barreled rocket launcher systems such as BM-21 Grad, BM-30 and BM-27, which are designed to hit armored and light targets, artillery batteries, command centers and ammunition depots, have started to be used in civilian areas.

On the other hand, among the weapons used by the Russian army, there are howitzers such as 203 mm Peony, 152 mm Hyacinth and 152 mm Akasya.

BAMING ON RUSSIA: THEY ARE BOMBING WITHOUT TARGETS

Ukrainian authorities accuse Russia of indiscriminately bombing cities, hospitals and schools with its heavy and conventional weapon systems in its inventory.

The United Nations (UN) High Commissioner for Human Rights, Michelle Bachelet, stated that the majority of civilian casualties in Ukraine were due to airstrikes and the use of heavy weapons such as multiple rocket launchers.

Ukrainian officials claimed that the Russian military was using cluster munitions known as bomb-in-bomb munitions, which could cause mass killings with a wide range of effects, while the Kremlin denied these allegations.

It is noted that cluster bombs may not explode in the first place and may be effective for a long time.

A senior official from the US Department of Defense (Pentagon) noted that Russia is not in a position to confirm the use of cluster munitions in Ukraine, and for the thermobaric vacuum bomb, “We evaluate that they have launch systems that can be used for thermobaric weapons, but we cannot confirm that this weapon is used.” had made a statement.

UKRAINE’S MILITARY INVENTORY IS MORE LIMITED THAN RUSSIAN

Although Russia claims that the Ukrainian army uses Soviet-made missiles like the Russian army, it is stated that these weapons are not as complex and long-range as Iskender and Kalibr.

In the inventory of the Ukrainian army, there are short-range ballistic missiles with low hit capacity, called OTR-21 Tochka.

In addition to Soviet defense equipment, it is stated that the Ukrainian army has recently supplied Javelin anti-tank and Stinger air defense missiles from many western countries, especially the USA.

Ukrainian military officials announced that the weapons in question were used to reduce civilian casualties in Russian attacks.
