Power plant flooded in Norway

A power plant in Norway’s Braskereidfoss in the municipality of Våler has flooded as a result of a fault which means that the floodgates have not opened properly.

The municipality’s crisis team has been called in and the situation is considered serious.

It is now being considered to blow up and residents nearby to be evacuated.

– The police have started evacuation in cooperation with the municipality, says police operations leader Merete Hjertø to the Norwegian public service company NRK.
