Jymy of Sotkamo Roope Korhonen became the all-time hitter king in the men’s Superpesis regular season. Korhonen passed Hyvinkää in the match against Tahko Jere Dahlström’swho had scored 1,504 runs.
Korhonen’s historic run was born when he went home Elmeri Purmonen In the fourth inning of the Tahko match. Korhonen hit five runs and has now hit 1,508 runs in his handsome playing career.
Sotkamo defeated Hyvinkää in Tuesday’s match in periods 1–0 (7–7, 6–0).
Korhonen, 42, debuted at the highest league level in 2000. He has only played for Superpes in Sotkamo Jymy.
