A powerful explosion has occurred in a port in Turkish Derince, Turkish media write.
According to CNN Turk, two grain silos were damaged in the incident, which took place at 1:40 p.m., Swedish time. The newspaper Hurriyet writes that it was felt all over the city.
– We thought it was an earthquake, then we realized it was an explosion, says the city’s mayor to CNN Turk.
Why it exploded is not yet clear. According to reports, five have been injured.
