A train has derailed between Iggesund and Hudiksvall, the police state on their website.
At least two passenger cars have derailed, but at the time of writing there are no reports of injuries. Police and emergency services were at the scene of the accident at around 1 p.m.
According to the police, the embankment has been undermined and collapsed as a result of heavy rain.
