(Finance) – German industrial production in June disappoints expectations. According to theGerman statistical office Destatis, industrial production showed a monthly decrease of 1.5%, after -0.1% in May (data revised from a preliminary figure of -0.2%). Analyst estimates were for a 0.5% drop.
On an annual basis, there was a drop of 1.8% after the +0.1% of the previous month.
The since it excludes energy and construction recorded a decrease of 1.3% on a monthly basis. Energy production fell by 1.5%.
