Afghanistan was shaken by a 5.2 magnitude earthquake!

A 5.2 magnitude earthquake occurred near Badakhshan, Afghanistan.

The US Geological Survey (USGS) announced that the epicenter of the 5.2-magnitude earthquake that occurred at 17:53 local time was the Curm district of Badahshan.

It was announced that the earthquake took place at a depth of 75 kilometers.

Two earthquakes with a magnitude of 5.8 yesterday evening and a magnitude of 5.3 this morning occurred in the province of Badakhshan.

While the earthquakes were also felt in neighboring countries of Uzbekistan, Tajikistan and Pakistan, the Taliban administration has not yet made a statement regarding the damage.

Earthquakes occur frequently in Badahshan, located on the Hindu Kush Mountains in northeastern Afghanistan.
