Thousands of spectators gathered to watch the four-legged surfing stars take to the waters off San Francisco on Saturday.
Since 2016, with a break in 2020 and 2021 due to the pandemic, the World Dog Surfing Championships have taken place at Linda Mar Beach.
– Surfing is difficult for anyone to learn, not least a dog. But they have an advantage and that is the four-wheel drive, says Don Horn whose dog competed.
The best surfing dogs took home the “Golden Surfie” award.
In addition to the surfing competition, there was also a veterinary clinic on site and a dog fashion show was organized.
