The film that Quentin Tarantino would most like to erase

Actually, Quentin Tarantino likes nothing more than to rave about films, including his own. In fact, there is one or the other work with which Tarantino is not happy at all. He prefers to remain silent about his first attempt at directing, My Best Friend’s Birthday. Natural Born Killers is also a thorn in his side.

The mixture of bloody satire, crime thriller and road movie was released in 1994 and directed by Oliver Stone. based on an idea by Tarantino. Tarantino originally wanted to adapt the screenplay he wrote for Natural Born Killers as his directorial debut. However, he could not find the budget.

Don’t ask Quentin Tarantino about Natural Born Killers: He hates the movie

Stone later secured the rights to Tarantino’s script, but had it reworked so that the Dialogues were extremely different from the original version. As the project progressed under Stone, Tarantino became less and less concerned with it, eventually leading to a falling out between the two filmmakers.

To date, Tarantino has not finished watching the finished film. Far Out captures a particularly graphic quote from the director about Natural Born Killers:

I hated that damn movie. If you like my stuff, definitely don’t watch the movie.
