At just 17 years old, Fibi “Fibii” Pfeiffer is already one of the biggest German-speaking streamers on Twitch. But now it seems that she has doubts about her career.
What has Fibii achieved so far? At the age of 16, Fibii 2022 was already one of the biggest German-speaking streamers and had one of the fastest growing channels on Twitch. She finished school after 10th grade and has been streaming full time ever since.
The streamer is followed by almost 600,000 people on Twitch. She also regularly attends cool events and has her own jewelry line. So she’s probably living the dream of many of her younger fans.
But now the 17-year-old seems to be struggling with her career decision.
Fibii’s Twitch colleague LetsHugo also opted for a career as a content creator over an academic career:
Streamer is not proud of her career
What does the streamer say about her career now? In a recent live stream, Fibii explained that she actually had no desire to be an influencer. That’s nothing to be proud of, says the 17-year-old:
We influencers have actually really achieved nothing in life. You should be proud of an education, you should be proud of a real job. […] We’re just the entertainers. We’re just the people who take away boredom, that’s all we are.
Fibii explains that she has the feeling that she doesn’t contribute anything to society, when she really cares about helping people: “It can’t be that I wanted to be a federal police officer and now I’m an influencer who just doesn’t do anything but make money. “
The Twitch streamer was recently criticized by her doctor for her career choice. It seems as if this hit a nerve with the 17-year-old.
Only once did she have the feeling that she had really helped someone, reports Fibii. A viewer wrote to her that she had a serious illness and that the streamer’s content had helped her a lot during this time.
Fibii’s situation differs from that of some of her peers on Twitch. Because some of them grew up in a time before you could aspire to a career as an influencer and initially worked in a “normal” job. Now they appreciate being paid to gamble even more:
