Six young people – all boys and men respectively aged 16 to 21 years – are convicted of aggravated blue light sabotage after participating in the riots in Skäggetorp in Linköping Easter weekend 2022, local media reports.

Three of them are over 18 and sentenced to three years in prison. The remaining three, who are under 18, are sentenced to youth supervision. During the riot in Skäggetorp, the convicts have, among other things, set off pyrotechnics, smashed police vehicles and stolen equipment from the police.

During the Easter weekend of 2022, riots broke out in several Swedish cities, after the far-right politician Rasmus Paludan planned to burn Korans in places around the country.
