Disenchantment comes from a time when Netflix was even more generous with new series. The animated fantasy production by Simpsons creator Matt Groening launched in 2018 – it ran for 5 years, which is an eternity by Netflix standards. Especially since Disenchantment, unlike Netflix long-running hits like Stranger Things, quietly delivered new seasons.
The new episodes did not become a topic of conversation and thus a lure for new Netflix customers. Nevertheless, Netflix renewed the series year after year. This is now over, as the streaming service announced with a teaser.
Disenchantment only gets one more season from Netflix: when is it coming?
The 5th and final season will be released on September 1, 2023 of disenchantment. It will consist of 10 episodes that will bring the story to a hopefully satisfying conclusion. Netflix had officially released the series not as seasons, but as “parts” – to save costs, as the Hollywood Reporter writes. You can see the teaser for the finale here:

What is Disenchantment about?
That’s the premise from Disenchantment, which has naturally evolved over the past few years: The series takes you to the medieval kingdom of Dreamland, a place where the imagination is the limit. At the heart of the action is young princess ‘Bean’ Tiabeanie, who prefers to get lost in alcohol and has a long history of failure.
Bean is a great disappointment to King Zøg and has a difficult relationship with her father. After their mother Dagmar was petrified years ago, the king remarried and cares more about his wife Oona and son Derek than Bean. This is to be married for the good of the kingdom.
