The fossil fuel industry is complicated, she explains, because those companies are not transparent, but they know very well how to make their policy look green. “We also have to maneuver through that. Everyone has to constantly look like: what is the real story?” Instead of letting the fossil companies demonstrate how green they are, she thinks the university should make its own conditions concrete. “There has to be a framework and that has to be filled in.”
