“Ioannis is a hard-working forward who is good at running into spaces around opponents, helping the team in the pressing game, but first and foremost he is a goalscorer,” AIK’s Norwegian sporting director Thomas Berntsen told the club’s website.
Ioannis Pittas has signed a contract until November 30, 2025.
The striker has made over 30 caps for Cyprus and in the Cypriot top flight Pittas accounted for 18 goals last season – making him joint top scorer.
“I chose to come to AIK because it is a big club and I have heard very good things about the supporters. I am here to score goals, help the team regain a position where the club belongs and win titles,” says Pittas.
AIK is in a negative qualifying spot in the Allsvenskan and will face Sirius away from home on Monday evening.
