Sweden is ready for the round of 16 in the World Cup after beating Italy 5-0 in today’s group final. The key to victory? Jonna Andersson’s precise corners and Amanda Ilestedt’s fine main play.
Andersson was behind three of the goals after hitting direct corners and Ilestedt headed in two of them.
Stina Blackstenius, Fridolina Rolfö and Rebacka Blomqvist also scored.
The big victory means that Sweden will probably take home the group victory and that means they will have to face the runners-up in the group of the USA and the Netherlands in the round of 16.
