Here you can ask your questions to Jörgen Holmlund, teacher in intelligence analysis at the Norwegian Defense Academy, about the deteriorating security situation in Sweden.
He answers the questions in the chat at 3 p.m.
Ask intelligence expert Jörgen Holmlund your question here
How well does Säpo know about terrorists acting alone?
helen_hanna
Hi and thanks for the good question
I judge that SÄPO is good and has control over these phenomena
Individuals acting alone are difficult to follow – they are driven by their own forces and are more difficult to detect than groups, where there is always a risk of leaking information

How do you think about traveling abroad as a Swedish citizen? In eg countries like Egypt?
Vince
Hi Vince and thanks for an adequate question
To all countries you travel to, you should/should take note of the Foreign Ministry’s travel routines
In the case of Muslim countries, there is every reason to follow this very closely!

Has Sweden been in a similar situation before?
Andreas
Hi Andreas and thanks for the good question
No – I judge this to be the most serious threat of future militant Islamic terrorism we have seen to date
When you judge that we (as a country in the West) are a legitimate target and have now become a priority target, this is to be taken seriously!
Jörgen Holmlund, teacher in intelligence analysis at the Norwegian Defense Academy
Hi Ulla and thanks for the good question
There is every reason to take SÄPO’s warnings very seriously
However, I don’t think we can expect anything that will be a concrete threat for attacks where we move!

How worried should you be and what should you think about as a citizen?
annahelgesson121
Hi Anna and thank you for a good and adequate question
I think we should be more aware and be careful where we move
Notify SÄPO and/or the police when you see something out of the ordinary!
