Is there crossplay or cross-progression?

Baldur’s Gate 3 has been playable in Early Access for some time, but the game will officially be released on August 3rd for PC and a month later for PlayStation 5. But what about crossplay, cross-progression and multiplayer in general? We at MeinMMO will tell you.

Is there crossplay? no Since December 2022, players have been able to gamble together on the Steam, GOG and Mac platforms. This will continue to work after the release.

However, there will be no crossplay between PC and PlayStation 5. So if your buddy is active on PS5 and you are on PC, you can’t play together. However, there is also positive news for players who like to be active on multiple platforms.

Is there cross save? Yes. If you own a version of Baldur’s Gate 3 on PC and one on PS5, you can share your save files and continue progressing on the other platform.

In general, Baldur’s Gate can be played on all platforms with a controller and also on the Steamdeck.

What does Baldur’s Gate 3 offer in co-op? You can open a session with up to three other players in multiplayer. Four of you can then shred your way through the opponents. All you have to do is select multiplayer in the main menu and either open your own lobby or join an already created one.

In addition, the role-playing game can also be used locally in split-screen. However, this mode will only be activated after the release.

When is the game coming out for the PS5? Here the release will take place on September 6th.
