Professional wants to be the first at level 100 in hardcore, loses character just before the finish

The German streamer Wudijo is a real pro in Diablo 4. But in the race to be the first hardcore player in Season 1 to level 100, the expert now had to accept a major setback.

Who is the pro? Max Radz, better known as “Wudijo”, is a German streamer and expert on various action RPGs such as Diablo 4 and Path of Exile. Also in Season 1, the professional is active again in Diablo 4 and tries to be the first player to level 100 in hardcore mode.

Already in Season 0, shortly after the release of Diablo 4, Wudijo was the first solo player at level 100 in hardcore, but in the current race the expert has to accept a severe setback: Wudijo lost his character at level 93, although he did not die.

How did he lose his character? Through a disconnect. According to Wudijo, there was a temporary power outage, which also briefly interrupted the stream.

The streamer was back online after just a few seconds, but by then it was too late. Wudijo lost his Hardcore character at level 93, although he didn’t die in battle himself.

Wudijos invested a total of 48 hours and 46 minutes in his Rogue, which fell during the disconnect. The expert had no chance to intervene.

Why is this so tragic? In Diablo 4’s Hardcore mode, characters suffer permanent death if they fall in the vastness of Sanctuary.

A dead character cannot be revived – it is gone, along with its level and collected equipment. A new character is needed that starts from scratch.

What does Wudijo say about the loss of his character? Shortly after the accident, the expert was unable to understand how his character died. He has already completed the event he previously attended.

Wudijo wondered what killed him as there were only a few small bats around. He checked the game and read: “Slain by Revenant.” Wudijo then drew the sobering conclusion: “There must have been someone else somewhere who killed me.”

However, Wudijo is not the first player to lose a character to a disconnect:
