Season 1 of Diablo 4 introduces a new boss: Echo of Varshan. In order to defeat him, you have to find him first. On MeinMMO you can find out where he is hiding and what you have to do beforehand.
Season 1 of Diablo 4 started on July 20th and not only gave us 32 new gems, but also a new boss. In order to find “Echo of Varshan”, you have to carry out a few steps in advance, because: You need a very specific seeker.
The door to the Echo of Varshan
What do I have to do to find Varshan? To find Varshan, you must first complete the new quest line in Season 1. Cormond will give you the Invoker of Varshan and a recipe to make it.
How do I use the Invoker of Varshan? With the new seeker, you enter a tunnel of spite at world level 1 or 2 and complete it. In some tunnels you will find a locked door to a secret room where you can summon Varshan.
Behind this door, in the secret room, there is an outgrowth, similar to the pustules you already know from the tunnels. If you have the Seeker of Varshan in your inventory and interact with the pustule in the secret room, the Echo of Varshan will appear.
Defeating Varshan will reward you with a Wrathful Heart that fits any socket and a recipe for another seeker.
Varshan accompanies you to the endgame
What kind of another requester is this? Varshan is also an issue in the endgame if you have placed him at world level 1 or 2, because: If you defeat him, you will receive a recipe for a new seeker. If you defeat him at world level 3, you will again receive a world level 4 recipe.
What recipes do I get? The recipe Varshan drops at World Tier 1 or 2 is for the Foul Invoker of Varshan. You can then craft it at Cormond’s workbench.
The Evil Appeal of Varshan allows you to summon the Echo of Varshan once again at World Tier 3 in a Malevolence Tunnel. If you defeat Varshan on World Tier 3, he will drop another recipe. This time for a Tormented Invoker of Varshan that you can craft and use at World Tier 4.
Do I need level 100 for Varshan? No. According to the developer, the Echo of Varshan is level 60 at world tier 3 and level 80 at world tier 4 (via Twitter).
In Diablo 4, we encountered another Echo that didn’t require level 100, but it was recommended. The well-known end boss is pretty tough.
However, some players had such strong builds that they killed the Echo in less than 2 minutes:
