In South Korea, more than 2,000 suspicious packages have been reported in the last 4 days, which are thought to contain harmful substances.
According to Yonhap’s report, South Korea’s National Police Agency announced that 2,058 suspicious packages have been reported from citizens since Thursday.
In the statement, it was reported that 645 packages were examined by the police and the others were false reports.
The police stated that the packages, which they examined with the concern that they contain toxic substances, have been empty or contain cheap products, contrary to the concerns so far.
SUSPICIOUS OF FRAUD
South Korean Police suspects a fraudulent case where some e-commerce firms illegally purchase citizens’ personal information and try to increase their sales and get positive reviews by sending unordered products to their address.
Authorities reported that they detected the suspicious international packages originating in Taiwan and that they acted together with their Chinese counterparts to solve the problem. (AA)
