A large proportion of MMORPG players like PvE, i.e. fighting against computer-controlled opponents. But which are the best PvE MMORPGs? We at MeinMMO will tell you.
What criteria was used to create this list? The list focuses on the open game world, the story and the PvE instances. PvP may occur, but without coercion. In the best case, the fights take place in their own arenas or on their own PvP servers.
Unsurprisingly, it was mainly the big names that made it into the top 5. At the end you will find a list of other options that we can recommend.
Who made the list? Alex is our MMORPG expert on MeinMMO and has sunk at least 50, but sometimes up to 10,000 hours of play in each of the titles mentioned here. He also tests every new MMORPG that comes out immediately.

What kind of game is this? World of Warcraft is the most famous MMORPG in the west and is still very popular 18 years after its release. You create a character on the Horde or Alliance side and have the choice of 13 different classes and a total of 24 races.
You choose a character and follow an exciting story that is told through quests and beautiful cinematics. Dungeons, raids, dangerous world bosses and PvP battles await you in the mid- and endgame.
The MMORPG relies on comic graphics that have been pimped up a bit over the expansions, but are still getting a bit old. The combat system relies on classic tab targeting, although it has become significantly more dynamic compared to the vanilla era.

What makes it really good in PvE? WoW is the MMORPG with the best raids on the market. Here the race for the world firsts plays an important role. This can take a week or even longer. After all, it took Team Liquid 11 days to launch Dragonflight.
But the MMORPG can also convince in other respects. The open world is varied and offers many side and daily quests, the story is exciting and with Dragonflight the dragon races were added as a new task.
A special factor in WoW is also the role-playing game. Because here you will find one of the largest communities for it, provided you join the right server.
What makes it rather bad in PvE? WoW doesn’t do anything bad, but sometimes lacks the right incentives to play in the open world.
In addition, instances play a very important role in the lore, which not everyone likes.
How about PvP? PvP can be played in arenas and larger battlegrounds. If you also join a PvP server, you can also fight with players from the other faction in the open world.
