Diablo 4 bosses discussed the future of the game in a stream. There was already a foretaste of what the upcoming patch 1.1.1, which is already in the works, should bring.
What is this patch?
What’s in the patch? The core of Patch 1.1.1 revolves around undoing or at least fixing the partly too hard nerfs of Season 1. Specifically, the developers promised:
The patch is scheduled to go live “a few days after the Campfire Chat” on July 28, a specific date is yet to be announced. There are also other patches up to Season 2, which the developers have not spoken about.
Patch notes are now coming sooner
So that chaos like that in patch 1.1.0 does not occur again, patch notes should now appear earlier. According to community boss Adam Fletcher, the goal is to make all changes public no later than a week before the next important patch.
So players should be able to better prepare for what’s coming. Whether there is already a full week for Patch 1.1.1 as a prelude is still open, but it could only be a few days here.
In addition, Associate Game Director Joe Piepiora promised that major changes to balance and meta should now be changed to predictable points – such as at the start of a season. There should be no more annoying and extensive changes in the middle of the season.
In case of doubt, certain builds should simply remain too strong if the developers cannot provide an appropriate alternative. But if they only cut the fun of the game in favor of the balance, they would have failed, they say.
Meanwhile, a big argument is brewing in the community:
