Season 1 in Diablo 4 started yesterday and many players quickly faced a new problem. The products of a new game mechanic are cluttering up inventory, but we’ll tell you what you can do about it.
The Wicked Hearts cannot be stacked, so they take up valuable inventory and storage space. However, there are a few things you can do to keep collecting important loot and not clogged up with Wicked Hearts.
This will remind many of the space issue due to the gems. Here’s a trick to save space:
You can do this:
There are a few ways to free up inventory space and your storage chests, or not waste it in the first place.
Leave legendary items
Yes, you read that right. But aren’t they quite valuable, especially in the beginning? Correct. And because they’re so valuable, Diablo 4 has a delivery service for them. If you find Legendaries or Uniques, you can leave them relaxed, because: They will be sent to your storage box in the loading sequences when you leave areas.
You will then find your items in the cities where there is a storage box – recognizable by the box symbol on the map. But be careful, the box for the delivered legendary items only has 10 spaces, so you should empty it in between.
Dismantle Wicked Hearts
You can also disassemble Wicked Hearts that you don’t want to use. This gives you secretion, which you can use to make new hearts or so-called seekers. You use Approach to visit certain enemies:
Insert gems into item sockets
To save space, you can simply place the gems in the empty sockets of gear you want to dismantle. When you disassemble the items, you will get back the gems used as well as the materials.
Alternatively, you can just leave them where they are, or just take the gems with higher quality levels with you.
Don’t be a “Loot Messi”.
At the beginning you start with your season character, with an empty inventory, empty boxes, without money and materials. Of course it is important to collect everything again in order to be able to screw on the build. Nevertheless, it does not always make sense to take every item with you without exception.
Experience has shown that you can sometimes do without one or the other piece of equipment. You will still get the materials you need to upgrade over time.
Upgrading your equipment is not worthwhile at the beginning, as you will find new, better items all the time. So it’s worth it if you have an abundance of materials and want to take the boosts with you, as well as if you’re sure you want to keep the items.
The desire for an extra bag for gems existed before the season, but other materials were added instead. It remains to be seen whether anything will change.
Another stream will take place tonight at 8 p.m., in which the developers will address the adjustments to the season update and the strong criticism that came up with the patch notes:
