Sinclair had the chance to become the first player to score in six consecutive World Cups on both the women’s and men’s sides, according to Britain’s The Guardian.
Canada, unsurprisingly, had most of the ball, but never came up with any hot scoring chances. Instead, it was Nigeria who were sharp on the counterattack and threatened several times.

Canada’s next game is against Ireland on Wednesday. Nigeria will face host nation Australia a day later.
