Fans warn of deadly player tricks in Diablo 4

In Diablo 4, practically everything wants to kill you. But you are actually safe from players if you don’t wreak havoc on the “fields of hate”. On Reddit, however, fans remind that some players are nasty trolls.

Hach, some players are so friendly in the action RPG Diablo 4: help with the sometimes unclear emote quests, help with nightmare dungeons or give tips for the rampaging world bosses.

But if we’re honest: Behind every “nice” player there can be a troll.

One of the biggest threads of the weekend on Reddit is currently a reminder of this. Better watch out when you get a group invite. If you play a hardcore character, it could be the last thing you experience with the char.

Season 1 of Diablo 4 starts on July 20th. Here you can find the gameplay trailer:

Trolls want to kill you

What trick is it? User “Clear-Document-5598” headlined on Reddit: “Warning for hardcore players who gamble in Hell Tide” and collected almost 5,000 upvotes over the weekend. In addition, almost 1,000 comments were collected.

The warning is very simple: be careful who invites you, don’t just travel to other players. The thread creator tells about his experiences.

He was with his hardcore necromancer in a world tier 3 infernal flood and got an invitation from a level 100 player: “Come to me, chest and boss here.”

Oh, how nice – one might think at first and then travel to the courteous player. However, Clear-Document-5598 was skeptical and first checked where the other player was. He was waiting in the Fields of Hate, the PvP areas of Diablo 4.

Had Clear-Document-5598 gone there, it might have deleted its hardcore Necromancer. More trolls would most likely have been waiting there to finish off his character.

Players learn life lessons

What do players say about this? The warning is well received and also provides some topics of conversation in the Reddit thread. Some talk about their experiences from Diablo 2, there was also a lot of trolling.

Players also talk about when they learned in their gaming career that it is better not to trust strangers. Or that it is best not to trust anyone if an offer sounds too good.

DeKrazyK writes something like this: “I’ve never been pulled off in real life because I learned my lessons in Runescape. I was 10 then.”

In fact, some players who were pulled off as a noob in Runescape come out here. So does “bamboojungles”: “I lost a rune shield and leg armor back in OG Runescape. My heart was broken for months.”

User “nanosam” summarizes the tips from the thread for all Diablo players: “In hardcore mode you have to assume the worst intentions every time. […] Don’t trust anyone in hardcore mode.”

Incidentally, it can also be worthwhile for you to play the Infernal Tide at world level 3 – especially in hardcore mode. If you switch to world level 4 with your earned embers, you can also redeem the strong 175 chests here.
