Three Norfolk County residents face charges related to an ongoing robbery investigation.

Norfolk OPP were called to a Norfolk Street South address at about 10:38 am on Saturday, July 8, 2023.

Police say a verbal dispute between one person and three other individuals escalated to a physical altercation in which the person was assaulted. The suspects damaged and stole personal property as they fled the victim’s residence, police said.

On Monday, July 10, OPP Haldimand/Norfolk Community Street Crime Unit members took two individuals into custody.

The male suspect is charged with carrying a concealed weapon, possession of weapon for dangerous purpose, mischief under $5,000, robbery with violence, forcible confinement, assault, resist peace officer, possession of firearm or ammunition contrary to prohibition order, and four counts of failing to comply with probation order.

The female suspect is charged with assault, forcible confinement, and robbery with violence.

On Tuesday, July 11, street crime unit officers arrested a third suspect at a Peel Street address. The 38-year-old man has been charged with forcible confinement, robbery with violence, and fail to comply with probation order.

All three accused were held in custody for a bail hearing.
