Her summer talk has received considerable attention.
Now Camilla Läckberg shares the enormous response she has received from others who recognize themselves in what she tells.
– So much pain that has come to me, says the author when she visits TILDE.
In her summer talk, she shares the ghosts she’s had in her head all her life, like saying she’s not good enough the way she is based on her weight and her looks.
– Not a day has gone by without me thinking about how much I weigh, I’ve been dieting since I was eleven years old, done every single diet there is, says Camilla Läckberg when she now visits Friday’s TILDE.
“It hurt to talk about it”
The summer talk has received an enormous response. On the spot in Tilde’s pink sofa at Junibacken, Camilla Läckberg talks about the thousands of DMs that have trickled into the inbox, many recognize what she says.
– It hurt to talk about it, but absurdly enough afterwards, it removed a lot of what hurt, says Camilla Läckberg.
But being able to share in other people’s stories has also meant being able to share in other people’s pain.
– But it is also very sad, so much pain that has come to me. There are so many stories about job interviews you didn’t go on because you didn’t feel good enough, there are dates you didn’t go on, chances you didn’t take, she says.
Simon Sköld on the support for Camilla Läckberg
The evening’s program is also hosted by Camilla Läckberg’s husband Simon Sköld. He tells how he handles and supports Camilla in the ways he can.
– It’s something I think is very difficult that she has to live with. I think she is stunningly beautiful. Throughout our relationship, you’ve both gained and lost weight, and as you said before – you weren’t at your happiest when you were thinnest. It really had nothing to do with each other, notes Simon.
