Draenei are getting new customizations in World of Warcraft. They can now take on the look of sinister Man’ari Eredar.
World of Warcraft has already started in Shadowlands to give the heroes of Azeroth more and more customization options. Although the focus in patch 10.1.7 is clearly on the night elves and the undead, another race can also look forward to innovations: the draenei.
What do draenei get? wowhead’s dataminers found an achievement in the patch 10.1.7 game data called “Seeing Red”. Completing the achievement unlocks new customizations for draenei characters: The Man’ari-eredar look.
What are Man’ari Eredar? Man’ari eredar actually belong to the same race as the draenei, namely the eredar. However, the people split thousands of years ago when Sargeras came to Argus to recruit the eredar into the Burning Legion. The eredar that fled from Argus became the “draenei”. The eredar who made the pact with Sargeras were endowed with the “Gift of Fel Magic” and became Man’ari-eredar.
Unlike the draenei, the Man’ari-eredar have a different skin color. They are usually shown in red or mixed with blue. Exactly these adjustments will be made for Draenei in the future.
Why is this controversial? Man’ari eredar have been something of the clear antagonists in the Warcraft universe for many years. They stand for many as pure evil and incompatible with the Light – something the draenei hold dear, even if that got a little crack at the end of Legion.
However, it remains to be seen how Blizzard will justify these new adjustments. From the success, however, it is already clear that there will be at least one quest line in which you have to help Velen. It is conceivable that a group of remorseful Man’ari would join the Alliance or at least the draenei here.
What do you think of this innovation for draenei? A good thing for more customization? Or is that too far from the spirit of the Alliance and the draenei?
