Goby fishing event draws 200

About 200 people turned out for this year’s Family Fun Fishing Day, organizers say.

The annual Bluewater Anglers event, held July 8, encourages youngsters and their families to catch invasive gobies and have them weighed for a shot at prizes.

A similar number turned out for last year’s event, organizers said.

It’s held during Ontario Family Fishing Week, when provincial fishing licenses aren’t required.
