World of Warcraft is currently offline. Patch 10.1.5 caused problems – and Blizzard had to react. The realms are offline.
Update 6:20 p.m.: The realms are back online and World of Warcraft is accessible again.
Original message: “Never play on patch day” is an ancient rule that first generation WoW fans still know. Patch 10.1.5: Cracks in Time shows that this rule is still valid today. The update went live today, July 12th, 2023 and brought a new mega dungeon “Dawn of the Eternals” as well as a lot of other content.
However, there were also many problems. They were so strong that Blizzard now has to do emergency maintenance.
What’s going on in WoW? The servers are currently completely offline since 2 p.m. So you can’t play WoW at the moment.
When will the realms come back online? This is unknown. Blizzard hasn’t given a timeline, so it could still be a few hours. As a rule, however, this maintenance always ends quite “spontaneously” and usually only lasts a few hours. We’ll update this article when the realms come back online.
