Last year, 496 explosive attacks took place on ATMs in Germany. That is the highest number ever recorded and a quarter more than the year before. In half of the cases, the perpetrators actually succeeded in looting money. In total, they were able to steal 29.9 million euros in this way, which is half more than in 2022.
