As Variety reports, in an interview with Jake’s Takes, the actor spoke about what is probably his worst movie experience to date, without revealing the title:
…Sometimes you find yourself in a film that you know might not be what you hoped it might be and you’re still in the process of making it. And I remember halfway through the production, and it was still months before you, and you took your family somewhere and made them uncomfortable, and I remember my wife picked me up again, because I fell into a depression and I was like, ‘What have I done?’ And what movie is Matt Damon talking about now?
Although he doesn’t name the title, Damon is most likely referring to 2016’s fantasy blockbuster The Great Wall. The Chinese-American co-production, with a budget of $150 million, grossed around $334 million worldwide, according to Box Office Mojo, and flopped as a result .
