There has been an explosion on Andra långgatan in Gothenburg. One person was slightly injured and taken to hospital in an ambulance.

On Monday evening, the police received an alarm that a loud bang had been heard in a premises on Andra långgatan in central Gothenburg. According to information to GP the explosion is said to have taken place inside a restaurant.
The national bomb protection will, according to the police, work at the scene.
On the police’s website, they write that window panes must be broken.
– We are on site and all people have been evacuated from the premises. We have a light haze in the room but no fire, says Joakim Hallin at the rescue service’s command center.

Also last week, a restaurant on Andra långgatan was exposed to a minor fire. But whether there is any connection is unclear.
– I cannot comment on that at the moment. But it is clear that they are looking at ensuring or excluding possible connections, says Hammarbäck.
